Fan art of Luna Lovegood and Thestral

This is Luna Lovegood as she does the spexto petronum spell. Can you see the little bunny? While she is doing magick, a ghost of thestral walkes by. That is so cool. I want to see a real thestral.. and do magick!

I'm finally done with this fan art from the Harry Potter-series. After useing some time last year on painting the Thestral creature and Luna, I ended up useing a picture for background. I took shot the picture a week ago, lucky shot since it looked alot like I what I was sketching.

I find the tecnique I've used latly very exciting to work with. I love mixing painting/drawings and pictures in photoshop. it gives my paintings and style a realistic feel to it, but you can see it's painted. I don't like when it looks too realistic, then I loose the artistic and creative flow, and controll my paintings too much.

Halo 4 Release Day

My plans for the release date, The 6th November, have all been set for weeks! My and my bf get a visitor from Oslo, to game with us for days! We are to travel into town, get the game, eat as much sushi we can take, buy Subways with us home and then GAME. We are really looking forward to simultaneously open the game cover, open the xbox360 tray and put the disc in while the green light shine up our eyes and then start. OOooooh.

The new graphics in the game will probably get me more into game than before. It's the new first game in 'Reclaimer Trilogy'. I don't know too much about Halo history, and the first game I started to play the seires with was the Halo: Reach. I mostly started the game because the part on 'Legendary level' where we are flying up to the corvette made me drool. I'm really good at the flying part. 

The new motions to the characters and aliens, the weapons, the gear, the vehicles almost makes me drool by the game play.

Earlier I used to play invisible alot and sneak around, assasinate, flank etc. Except for when I lost patiens trying to find good angles, trying to distract while my other team members attacked. I usually wear light gear to be able to move and run fast with my technique, so I was easy to kill when they first shot me. Halo 4 have many new alternatives to choose between and will be exciting to try and find out what I will go for this time. The upgradeing will be more personalized than before because the game concider your style alnoe, and in team with which way you will level and there for more personally. Seems cool to me.

I have played mostly in my team from the beginning with my bf and Ivan, or else I would probably never start playing Halo, so it's kinda thanks to them I started. Because FPS-games usually havn't interested me that much, so Halo is nr.1 FPS-game to me. To me it's much more than a shooting game, because the fun part to me are playing with my team, discuss tactics, work together and help find what works and not for eachother. The part about choosing the right gear I should use I leave to the boys.. I choose the color.. hahah. But I have my favorite weapon and perks.

The Grunts have been my favorite aliens because they are so small and cute.  And I love to headshot them because of the 'Happy-Birthday grunt effect' that makes the head explode with colorful confetti. And they have so short legs.. aww

There are a few images you have missed out the past few month on this blog.

This is Benny, a fan art. You will recognise her if you have red the comic LFG (Looking for Group). She is drawed and colored in photoshop. I love to make fan art of other arts, movies etc that inpires me.

Planitery Universe. I painted the star dust in PS again, added this planet and the moon (stock used, check DA to find who) for the final touch to make space.

Toddler Merida. I loved the movie 'Brave', Merida had an inspireing personality and the movie looks great. I imagine she would be a fun and crazy toddler where she would fall down climbing a tree. She was trying to look closer at a bird nest and wanted to colect more feathers to tie on her stick. This is Merida as toddler, shocked and scared face after falling down and trying to realise what just happend. Now, you can imagine her trying to fight of an angry moma bird and I added some feathers in her hair. The background, is form a picture I took yesterday, then transformed it to look like a painting.

Keeping my blog alive

I've changed my blog, and more changes will come to keep this blog alive to keep posting my arts and find a way to stay on here.

I have this Norwegian blog where I write like this journal. I'm glad I don't have too many watcher there,  but more than this one. However, on that blog I decided to post my art. Then remembered this blog in english. I feel so stupid for not keeping this one alive when art is more important to me. Here I go, doing changes on this one and post more not only illustrations and painting, but I should post pictures I take,  show the little photo artist in me.

And maybe I should post pictures of my little garden success? Gardening can be art, right? and why no blogt about gameing from time to time. Well, it will keep my blog alive, and I will take it form there and see where this leeds.

I have also made a facebookpage where I started posting my art from time to time to reach followers who are FB-nerds.

I had this white shoe box for plant seed storage and tought it was boring. I descided to decorate it and use a few items like decopage, napkins, rope and piping. Now the box looks more like my own elf-style.
